155: Northern Ireland Shotgun Championship Featuring Niki & Aaron Hayes

When we heard that friends of the show Niki and Aaron Hayes were heading off on an international competitive shooting adventure, we quickly booked them on the podcast to get a sense of what they were excited for and how they planned to be ready for the Northern Ireland Shotgun Championship.

Aaron has been on the show a few times before, notably after shooting the IPSC Shotgun World Shoot in Italy in 2015. We welcome Aaron’s bride Niki in her first appearance on The 3-Gun Show! Niki is in her second year of shooting 3-Gun (and actually shooting in general!) and we discuss how she approached preparing for the World Shoot as a newer shooter. You probably won’t be surprised to find that Niki found the international shooting community incredibly welcoming.

Listen in as Niki and Aaron share the highs and lows of both their trip and of their match!

On This Podcast You’ll Hear:

  • How to travel internationally with guns
  • The difference between IPSC Shotgun and American 3-Gun
  • How friendly (or unfriendly) is the International Shooting Community?
  • Plus! Why you should always listen to your husband…
  • And more!
