The 3-Gun Show Interview Format

I am excited to have you as the featured guest on The 3-Gun Show, a podcast based on the sport of 3-Gun and practical shooting. During our chat our listeners will get to know you as a person as well as a shooter and learn what skills, gear and experiences make you the successful competitor that you are.

Below is the interview format for you to check out before the interview. I may or may not ask all of the questions depending on where the conversation takes us.

As you likely know from years of listening to speeches, radio, podcasts and conversations, the more real-life stories and examples you can provide will make for a better interview for our audience.

Definitely treat the interview as a relaxed talk between a couple of friends over a beer.

Format and Questions

   1. I will briefly introduce you to the audience and ask you to tell us more about you personally. Some questions that may help you decide what to share:
      1. Where do you live?
      2. What is your career outside of practical shooting?
      3. Do you have other interests?
      4. Are there any accomplishments, unique facts or stories about you that the listeners would find interesting and entertaining?
      5. Are you a Father/Mother?
      6. Etc.

3. The 3-Gun Experience

   1. How long have you been competing in the sport of 3-Gun?
   2. What drew you to 3-Gun?

4. Main Topic

   1. Here we will cover the main topic that we have discussed.
   2. Examples:
      1. Stage breakdown and strategy
      2. Mindset
      3. Practice Methods
      4. Specific Techniques

5. Promotion

   1. Do you have any upcoming projects or promotions that you’d like to tell us about?
      1. Books/Videos
      2. Live Training
      3. Sponsors promoted in a classy manner
   2. If the listeners want to follow or get in touch with you, how can they do that?
      1. Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc)
